Fathi Otmani is a European artist, born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Fascinated at a very young age by music, Fathi began writing and producing rap songs in English and Dutch.
He started a group at the age of 16 and focussed on creating conscious rap music.
After four years his serious interest in other music genres began to develop.
While travelling he regularly listened to nasheed songs and began to get inspired by the nasheed artists which he loved to sing along with.
Meanwhile, he began working with studio audio software and making instrumental beats for himself and his rap group.
Being an avid nasheed listener,
by this time it occurred to him the nasheeds strongly struck his emotions and also inspired him to realize their splendor of expressing the beauty of Islam.
In the summer of 2006 Fathi decided to focus on making his own Islamic inspired music.
He has contributed with his music to different humanitarian events and continues doing so by producing and singing his songs in a conscious way,
tackling different issues like poverty, orphans and many more subjects for the remembrance of the Almighty.
“My aim in making my music is to spread the beauty of Islam to all the people and show everyone that Islam is a religion of peace which the media often choose to forget.
I hope that my efforts can bring at least a small change in people’s perception of this beautiful Deen.
May Allah help us stay steadfast on the path of this Deen and keep our hearts clean from Shaitan’s darkness. Ameen.”
